Jamie is a speech-language pathologist in Katy, Texas.   She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelors degree in Communication Science and Disorders, as well as from the University of Texas at Dallas with a masters degree in Communication Disorders.  She has been a licensed speech-language pathologist, specializing in children, for over 13 years.  She has completed Reading Readiness, Basic Language Skills, Developing Metacognitive Strategies, Multisensory Grammar, and many other courses through Neuhaus Education Center while currently pursuing her license to become a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) aka Dyslexia Therapist! 

 Jamie enjoys helping children and their families achieve success in their language development.  She has completed training in Picture Exchange Communication (PECS), DIR/FloorTime, Kaufman Apraxia of Speech, and the SCERTS model (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, Transnational Supports).  She has also received extensive training in early feeding development during her time in home health.  

Over the years, she has become increasingly passionate about reading and dyslexia intervention as her husband is dyslexic.  Jamie has found great joy in utilizing her knowledge of speech and language development to continue to support reading fluency and comprehension as reading is a form of language, just written!  

In her free time, Jamie loves taking her children to the park and exercising! 

Jamie is a board certified speech-language pathologist.  She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association and the Texas Speech and Hearing Association.
